This website is a theme-based portal for Education in Human Rights and Peace providing complete information on work run by the Basque Government Human Rights Board, as well as other departments in the same institution. There are also contributions from the three Basque deputations (provincial government bodies) and the Ararteko institution (Ombudsman for the Basque Country).

Website set-up and the work carried out in the Resources Centre sprang from the First Basque Education Plan for Human Rights and Peace which, of course, takes a starring role in the web tool.

Another reference is the Euskadi Human Rights and Peace Education Associations Forum (including more than 30 non governmental organisations) set up in March 1997. It aims to establish itself as a citizen-friendly forum which works from a position of diversity to help to consolidate peace culture and promote human rights. In order to highlight everyday best practices, a section has been created entitled “Topic of the month." This provides a space to find out about experiences which are bound to be useful reference points for us.

The Website contents are organised into the usual sectors offering tools of this type such as the diary (calendar of activities to be held in the Basque Country relating to Human Rights and Peace), links (to entities working in the same area), a news portal or documentation from the three International Human Rights Congresses held in the Basque Country (2004-2006-2008). It is also possible to consult the subsidies awarded by the Basque Government Department of Justice, Employment and Social Security.
